Seminar dates, California:
Why come to a taster evening?
----------------------------------------------------------
Because it could change your life!
A taster evening could be the first step you take to achieving those things that
are important to you. NLP is about thinking and communication skills which are
the building blocks of nearly everything we do.
So don't just read this - find out for yourself how NLP can benefit you. Come
along and see and hear for yourself.
Taster evening agenda:
Why come to a skill builder evening?
----------------------------------------------------------
Because continual practise will enable you to maintain and build on your skills.
Whether totally new to NLP or practitioner or trainer our skill builder evenings
will enable to keep up to date with the latest skills and approaches to NLP. You
get an excellent trainer to delegate ratio, its fun and we now hold them at one
of the nicest locations in London SW1.
You can now use attendance as a part of your route to practitioner and master
practitioner accreditation.
Skill builder evening:
Executive coaching masterclass
----------------------------------------------------------
As mentioned in last months newsletter, NLP is an excellent discipline for
executive coaching. Peter Freeth and I will be holding our masterclass in
'executive' coaching' on the 2-4th February.
Elements include: The overlap and contrast between coaching and sales,
consulting and hypnosis; modelling a basic coaching approach; NLP and coaching
models; developing your marketing plan and developing your skills.
Together with plenty of practise in coaching and being coached.
Executive coaching masterclass:
Richard Bandler and John La Valle in Orlando early 2004
----------------------------------------------------------
Richard has published his dates for Mexico, Orlando and London for the spring of
2004.
I'm joining Richard and John La Valle for 'Persuasion Engineering' 'Design Human
Engineering' and 'Charisma Enhancement' in Orlando. I'm staying with Mark Hayley
who has been working with Richard as one of his apprentices for the last 12
months or so.
It all provides a flow of new ideas and states for our own PPI seminars.

Glossary of terms continued
----------------------------------------------------------
To make it easier to understand NLP terms I'm including one a month - They're a
lot easier to understand than they first seem.
Tote
Developed by Miller, Galanter and Pilgrim, the term stands for the sequence
Test-Operate-Test-Exit, which describes the basic feedback loop used to guide
all behaviour.
The Tote model is useful when you look at strategies for doing things well (and
infact doing them badly!)
In addition a tote needs an 'outcome' or 'desired state', the 'test' compares
the present state to the desired state. The 'operation' is the action taken to
reduce or eliminate the difference between the present state and the desired
state.
The following questions may be useful in identifying the 'operation' a person
uses.
"What do you do to get your outcome?"
"What specific steps and stages do you go through?"
"What other choices do you have if you do not succeed at first?"
"When you experience unexpected problems, what do you do then?"
The results of the second 'test' show whether you can 'exit' or need to complete
another 'operate' stage.
