Change Magic - The book and competition!

Coming up with new collective nouns is a seriously fun way of pinning down
intangible behaviours. How about an empowerment of coaches? A confusion of
middle managers? A slick of salespeople? The collective nouns you come up with
say a lot about your preconceptions and are a very useful tool for flushing out
the beliefs and values of individuals in a team. How does a confusion of
managers behave differently to a group of individual managers? By coming up with
collective nouns, you are unconsciously noticing the behaviour of group dynamics
- a very useful thing to do in an organisation.

NLP terms - Translating

To make it easier to understand NLP terms I'm including one a month - They're a
lot easier to understand than they may at first seem.

Translating,

Connecting the meaning of one representational system to the same meaning in
another representational system.

It can be a useful exercise to describe an experience in one representational
system, and then describe the same experience through other systems.

I can see the dusty case of my computer, I can hear the sound of the computers
fan, I can feel the vibration of the computer through my knee which is touching
it, I can smell the ionised air its emitting...now do the same with a person...
