Presenting impact
----------------------------------------------------------

How you present yourself can have a significant impact on your career success.
We've added a video clip where I ask ask Peter Freeth some questions about our
'presenting impact' seminar which we're holding on the 2-4th August.

Video clip index:

Unrealised dreams on Snowdon
----------------------------------------------------------

Peter is giving you a chance to realise your dreams on Snowdon. Do you have
unrealised dreams, and the potential to achieve anything? Join Peter Freeth and
Clay Lowe to climb Mount Snowdon and gain the insights and resources you need to
achieve your ambitions. The first weekend of intensive coaching, reflection and
achievement is 23rd July

Snowdon details:

John Grinder in the UK
----------------------------------------------------------

I went to this seminar a couple of years ago and use the best of John's
techniques in most of our seminars; well worth thinking about. Readers of this
newsletter can claim £100 off the latest prices.

Charlotte Reynolds is holding a series of skill builder and free taster sessions
in Whitstable. For further details see Charlotte's website and / or talk to
Charlotte on 0771 2828 276

Twice the result with none of the stress
----------------------------------------------------------

I've carefully avoided time management books over the last few years on the
assumption we all have a certain amount of time; it's up to us as individuals to
decide what to do with it. However having got round to reading 'Getting things
done' by David Allen I'm reorganising my own management system. I suspect a must
read for consultants and executive coaches; and useful for anyone in business
who has to do more with less resource.

Getting things done:

Conversational belief change
----------------------------------------------------------

Doug O'Brien joined Johnathan Altfeld in their successful 'Belief Craft' seminar
last month. Doug has a double CD set on 'Sleight of Mouth' patterns for
conversational belief change. I highly recommend this CD set which you can now
buy on line; however I suspect some previous NLP experience may be useful.

As you visit the site you can look at the best of Richard Bandler's CD's. Well
worth considering.

We're designing a database of NLP practioners, master practitioners and those
with an interest in NLP. The main purpose is so that our delegates can keep in
contact with one another if they so choose; however we're making it available to
anyone with an interest in NLP.

While it's currently under test you're invited to include your own details free
of charge.

After four years of successful training we're launching our own PR campaign; in
addition to background detail, launching seminars, demonstrating how NLP meets
many of the demands of business and government today we're looking at the
success of individuals who started on our courses three or four years ago. Watch
this space!

Our first release is a simple positioning statement on 'Business and
organisational NLP comes of age'.

Glossary of NLP terms continued
----------------------------------------------------------

To make it easier to understand NLP terms I'm including one a month; they are
easier to understand than they may at first seem.

Auditory - Related to hearing or the sense of hearing.

Clues as to a person thinking auditorily are eyes level, middle range breathing
and speaking, straight up posture and using words such as:

Announce, audible, communicate, discuss, dissonant, earshot, gossip, listen,
loud, mention, remark, ring, say, silence, tone, vocal etc.

It is always worth ensuring that you develop and use a vocabulary, which
includes a full range of visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory and gustatory
words – you’re likely to appeal to a wider audience. And using a persons exact
words from time to time is a way of building strong rapport.
